I'm running a Radeon X800, which gives acceptable frame rates with FlightGear even at detailed scenarios. My favourite for the current AGP based computer is a Gainward 7876 BLISS 7800GS+, if you'd like to spend the money, or at least an NVidia 6800 Ultra.
