I have just set up a new suse 10.1 installation. I have SimGear, FlightGear, TerraGear compiled from cvs, TaxiDraw went without complaints. FGSD does not compile on my system because of nonworking FLTK/FLU on 64bit linux.
It takes some time to get all you required packages installed. Maybe you want to start with a FlightGear installation from source.
