I'm unable to keep up with FlightGear development, most of the recent changes to The Manual have been contributed by other people .... It's a rather tedious task to verify certain features on different platforms before you start putting them into printed documentation. In most cases you're left without developer feedback if things don't work as promised in the CVS changelog - which makes it almost impossible for a single person to write about every detail.
