Hi John,

I think I might have generated the current version of fix.dat.  I can't 
remember OTOH exactly what I did, but it would have been some 
combination of DAFIF data, FAA ATA100 data, and possibly Robin Peel's 
(xplane) fix data.  IIRC, Robin's fixes were derived from the (no-longer 
available) DAFIF, and I added the FAA ATA100 data since it had a lot of 
important fixes missing from the DAFIF that are used for GPS instrument 
approaches, such as for Half Moon Bay in the default area.  I think, but 
am not sure, that I then sent the list of missing fixes for Robin to 
merge into his data.

The best way to keep the data updated would be to feed improvements to 
Robin Peel (http://x-plane.org/home/robinp/) and then pull his updated 
data periodically.
