field as a single object (or collection of objects) and place that on top of
the default FlightGear terrain at the correct location.
It should be pretty straight forward to setup a little R/C modeling
airfield and fly from it via a modeler's perspective.
We've done just about exactly this for one of our U of MN UAV projects.
