When I said yesterday on IRC that the lightning's TACAN works for me, then this was result of a test right before that. I had tried in fg/plib with refueling_demo_1 and the Nimitz. The missing heading needle animation nicely canceled out with the broken plib scale rotation, so I got perfectly usable old-school tacan instrument behavior. I assumed that this was intended. ;-) I wasn't even aware of a refueling_demo (without _1 or _2 suffix).

I took off from KNUQ heading KSFO/Nimitz, then selected the A-6 channel (50X) and followed it. Tanked, flew to "Brijj"/NDB (yellow needle) and only shortly before did the green TACAN needle start to become disoriented. I turned back to the tanker and very soon the needle was stable again and led me to the tanker ... though I ran out of fuel and had to leave my machine the violent way. Didn't see anything fishy. m. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
