Just a few points:
FG does compile under MSVC8 with WIn XP
Which version are you trying to compile?
If FG compiled successfully, and stops at run time, the problem often lies
in the data. Do you have the right data for the version you are compiling?
The clue to the error can often be found in the console rather than any
debugging message.

Excuse me if this has been asked many times. I am posting after a lot of
searches.
After taking so much time, I compiled flightGear under window xp using
MSVC8. But when I run it it crashes after the splash screen "Reading
airport & navigation data"
The debugger stops at

Any idea as to why this happens.
I am sure I have successfuly added all the dependancy. Otherwise Flight Gear
wont compile, right?
Please someone please help me.
