As I said on IRC already, I actually agree with Martin on this. It's
a workaround ("hack") for a bug in OpenAL on some platforms. And given
that there's no release for the fg/osg branch planned in the next
time, I wouldn't like to have this patch in fg/osg. We don't even know
the exact cause and whether recent OpenAL versions are concerned at all.
Nor do we know what the OpenAL developer say and if a fix can be
expected in a reasonable timeframe. Let's fix bugs where the are.
