Yeah, AMD/ATI hve been saying that they'll improve things for a little while now - http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=42198 (and a couple of earlier announcments too) - but I'll wait until their reputation is established before I'll risk buying another ATI card;) I noticed that the phoronix article refers to X-server and not Xorg, but hopefully they'll include Xorg support eventually as well.
