Hi Syd, I would be very much of the opinion that this is another ideal case for a custom controls.gearDown function in aircraft that have that feature. Something along the lines of having to press the gear down control a second time, once the gear is down... different aircraft will have different types of "lock" and would probably need some kind of customisation anyway.
