Aside from the fact that it looks like UIUC is pretty well dead, you'll find yourself limited in terms of flexibility in modelling systems and also for animations with UIUC (quickly found that even with the Camel, which isn't the most complex of aircraft in most respects :-) At least with YASim, if you find bugs with the FDM config they should be relatively easy to get fixed...
