With upcoming OSG-Releases there will be a chance to
get these what you wish.

At first a german developer named Sebastian is working
in his free-time on a new Autogen-method. In the
moment he used town and buildings but I'am sure that
it can be used for trees and forests too.

A lot of trees means heavy work for the GPU's - but
OSG offers something called "Imposters" - which maybe
could improve this a lot. But it is not yet
implemented into FlightGear-OSG.

So just stay tuned - e all here love FlightGear with
its possibilities, so we are all working for improving
the graphics and all the other things! :-)
