I have not yet installed any additional scenery, so I can not get very far from KSFO but I did try at a smaller airport. I did not seem to make a difference at a smaller airport within the base package. I turned off all optional features such as AI and random objects, but this seemed to have no effect. So far the only thing that has a small effect is running it in a window at 1280x1024 @16bit. But there is still the occasional pause and stutter. Reading the threads in the User List, there was a suggestion by Stuart that I may need to be 500nm away, so I will add some scenery far away and see how that goes.
