Oh, and the manual way has the advantage that you can easily add
arbitrary stuff, such as other (non-cat) vertex offsets, or offsets
for places where no vertex is anywhere close.

And again: how hard is it to write down the few offsets? Our
animations are full of them. Adding lots of code to avoid them
for a single, very specific case doesn't seem efficient. Sure,
you can make a mistake. Just as with animations. That's why
we test our stuff.  ;-)
