These fixes should be in CVS now. Please give it a try. Took a bit longer than 
I expected. Life's been quite busy as of late. :-)

FWIW, as far as I can tell, many of the unqualified-id errors in cygwin 
originate from the fact that either windows.h, or config.h are not included. 
These errors baffled me for a long time, until some trial and error, in 
addition to some clues picked up from this list helped me to find out how to 
work around them.
