I don't know if it could be useful or just pertinent, but I modeled one 
of the features of the Intruder's Terrain avoidance radar. It displays 
the ground elevations relative to the aircraft's datum line. the radar 
shadow is also computed.

Have a look at the A-6E the display is just under the video Attitude 
Indicator. Any comment welcome.
