FWIW, I just noticed that this problem, where the sky starts turning white at the top corners of the screen as your altitude increases, is linked to the visibility settings.
For example, I've changed the default visibility settings in my .fgfsrc as shown below. --prop:environment/config/boundary/entry/visibility-m=6000 --prop:environment/config/boundary/entry[1]/visibility-m=10000 --prop:environment/config/aloft/entry/visibility-m=20000 --prop:environment/config/aloft/entry[1]/visibility-m=30000 --prop:environment/config/aloft/entry[2]/visibility-m=40000 Most important are the three aloft settings, which correspond to altitudes of 3000ft, 6000ft & 9000ft respectively and with these visibility settings I start seeing this problem just below 8000ft. However, I've found that if I reduce the 9000ft visbility from 40000m to 35000m the problem doesn't start until I'm around 28000ft. I've experimented with different visibility settings at different altitudes and it seems that reducing visibility increases the altitude at which the problem becomes apparent. This would probably explain why many people don't ever see this bug - FG's default visibility settings are a lot lower than the values I use and I've never seen real-weather fetch visibilities that high either (it was while using real-weather fetch that I spotted the correlation). Funny thing - I noticed that the problem briefly reappeared as I descended back below 8000ft, with the reduced visibility settings. Reducing the visibility settings isn't an answer to this bug though. As a recent discussion on this list pointed out, typical visibilities are often much higher than the values I'm using and the default FG settings are probably only typical for places that have bad air pollution problems.
