Ok, as Melchior pointed out /gear/tailhook/position-norm is written from
JSBSim.cxx so there ought to be a property in the /fdm/jsbsim subtree
that you should write to instead. From the source it looks like it is
/fdm/jsbsim/systems/hook/tailhook-pos-norm
