..this is the _best_ way to do it. :o)

..legally, if you use and modify your fork of fgms, but keep 
in in-house and never distribute it, only use it in-house to 
provide a "web" service, the GPL becomes irrelevant because 
you are in full compliance with copyright law. ;o)
