I did some cleanup of the xml autopilot code. Nothing changed with the computations of the filters, but many changes are related to the configuration code. Many things were duplicated in the filter class and some things were inconsistent. The handling of missing <enable> tags is one example, the handling of the <input> and <output> tags another. Now common code is in the base class FGXMLAutoCoponent. I tried hard to be fully backward compatible with existing autopilot config files and spent some time testing several existing configuration - but not all.
Please find attached the new xmlauto.cxx and xmlauto.hxx files and check, if you favorite aircraft with autopilot still behaves as expected. If nobody objects, I will check in this code within the next week and also update the documentation. Greetings, Torsten
