I'd like assent (lack of response will be taken as such!) to apply the following tiny patch in main.cxx:

Which changes FGViewMgr to be updated using the 'real' elapsed time, instead of the simulation time (i.e dt argument to update() will be valid, instead of zero, when the simulation is paused) This means one can still look around when paused, which is something that has annoyed me for a while. I've had a look over the view-manager and FGViewer code, and I don't see any potential harmful effects of this change, but maybe I missed something.

(And it seems to work exactly as hoped here)
