Hm for which aircraft is this?
I don't have the sound direction properly aligned just yet, but I think 
I'm getting close (and it now behaves different than before). Maybe it 
has something to do with that.
Could you try the default c172?

I wish I could get sound from it period. Something broke it from the in 
the last couple of releases. I'm using OpenAL-Sample (the sample 
implementation) fro testing. If it's working there it should work 
everywhere.
