Not sure where to jump into this thread, but... I decided to update today, with much dread... First I built simgear and openal_test1 & 2 went well, so I pushed on and did fgfs, too. Mostly it works. The only issue I noticed was doppler on the marker beacon. A _lot_ of doppler. I was in the storch doing maybe 200 km/h, and the marker was pitch-shifted beyond recognition. There was no doppler when I went to runway view. Debian freealut 1.1.0-1 (Yes, from before they switched to openal-soft) libopenal-dev 1:0.0.8-7 libopenal0a 1:0.0.8-7 Hope this helps in some small way.
