Be that as it may, a) it's the standard audio setup for Ubuntu, I'd hazard a guess that the largest number of Linux Flightgear users will use Ubuntu and will therefore be using pulseaudio (and openal-soft) b) while to start with when Ubuntu first included it, it was a bit of a pain, I personally find it pretty trouble free these days and the ability to use the pa volume control to individually control the "streams" and move them between devices, and have them automatically switch to other devices when they become available (think USB audio devices, like my headset) etc... well, it's all quite handy. -- James ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
