There is a rough edge with the windows install.  On linux a sensible data 
location is compiled in.  On windows that is not the case.  You can also set 
the global environmental variable %FG_ROOT% to contain your data path so it 
does not need to be specified on the command line.

Most people don't notice because FGRUN (the "gui") sets the --fg-root flag 
value for you.
