Thanks for the report, this turned out to be a non-trivial fix, since it forced 
me to restructure some code (to expose some things I hoped could live inside 
FlightGear, down to SimGear). It's done now, and sounds work for me in the 
Lightning, when I move it outside fg-data.

(I've also fixed the sound code, to no longer exit the whole app, when a sound 
file can't be found)

The noisy debug output should be gone, and I've tested various aircraft in the 
default location and in a custom aircraft dir, but testing would be appreciated.

(Ron, the Fokker 100 loads fine for me here, so it would be great if you can 
re-test that yourself, and let me know if you're still experiencing problems)
