Hello all. I just successfully built SimGear and FlightGear (following the instructions at http://wiki.flightgear.org/index.php/Git, I checked out the 'next' branch) on FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE.
Only a very small patch needed to be applied to simgear/simgear/compiler.h, to add #include <sys/param.h> so that __FreeBSD_version is defined. -ivan
