Actually a rather good idea, but I think it's still open to abuse. According to _my_ experience, on the Wiki as well as on the forum, quite a few people are so much obstinate, they simply don't care about wether some topic is already covered with valid information or not, they still do everything to spread their opinions (which includes getting insolent). As an example quite simple, just think of the multitude of Wiki articles we had on building Scenery. Fortunately nowadays most of them have been collapsed into just a few remaining articles (many thanks Gijs !!!), but before we saw people creating new articles entirely from scratch even though over 2/3 of their information was already covered in existing articles (plus probably 15 % being technically incorrect). It's just that easy creating a new article. Therefore I'm not convinced that locking individual articles is seriously going to avoid abuse.
