It looks as if Agostino de Marco´s paper (http://wpage.unina.it/agodemar/simulatore/UoN_guidelines_force_feedback_1.5.pdf) in the JSBsim part of this thread has got it covered, assuming someone can integrate it into the current JSBsim/Flightgear.
