Hello, Today I found something interesting. There is a project in Europe called "MyCopter".
They indeed aimed for a creating a personal air transport system (PATS) with Personal Aerial Vehicles (PAVs). So they are investigating what it needs to have such a system in the future. Several universities and labs are working on this: -Max-Planck-Institut für biologische Kybernetik -The University of Liverpool -École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne -Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich -Karlsruher Institut für Technologie -Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt Today I found another interesting article in the local newspaper about the work of the Max-Planck-Institut für biologische Kybernetik here in Tübingen/Germany. To my surprise they showed a picture of one of their simulators- and it does shows Flightgear! (obviously KSFO 28R) Here to the article (in german): http://www.tagblatt.de/Home/nachrichten/tuebingen_artikel,-Wie-Pendler-zur-Arbeit-fliegen-koennten-_arid,150513.html Click on the image to see a bigger image or use this link (popup: http://www.tagblatt.de/pu_all/popup.php?bi=NjI3ODk1Nw==&pageid=3 About the project: http://mycopter.eu/ About the Max-Planck-Simulators: http://www.kyb.tuebingen.mpg.de/research/equipment/virtual-reality-labs.html Cheers Heiko still in work: http://www.hoerbird.net/galerie.html But already done: http://www.hoerbird.net/reisen.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The demand for IT networking professionals continues to grow, and the demand for specialized networking skills is growing even more rapidly.
