Hello,

the exclusive hang-glider in fg, AirwaveXtreme150, is in a poor condition.
After the switch from plib to osg the model becomes "invisible".
I am afraid that this hang-glider is going to die in the future. This would be
a pity because the fdm is very special, unique AND quite realistic!

Therefore I started an ouverhaul:
- convert model hgdlr_cs.mdl to hgdlr_cs.ac
- convert textures hgdlr_cs.0af to hgdlr_cs0.rgb
- convert textures hgdlr_cs.1af to hgdlr_cs1.rgb
- add missing pilot-neck and back-wires
- retexturing
- repainting (ok, we can discuss the colours)
- shifting cg of model to origin (0,0,0)
- rotate model to fit (visible) incidence
- adapt contact points
- pilot animation
- additional view (keel view)
- fdm unchanged!
- add aircraft help
- add aircraft status
- add splash.png
- update thumbnail.jpg

In my opinion AirwaveXtreme is now in the best condition ever!

Please let me know if you are interested in this work and to whom I could send
this files (1.2MB).

If you have additional suggestions for improving I will try to incorporate
that.

Finally I have 2 questions:

1. is it correct that the LaRCsim/UIUC fdm isn't able to interact with
"environment" (wind, turbulence, thermals, ridge lift)?

2. I struggled with the contact point at the nose of the hang-glider. Every
attempt to move the actual contact point (the fake point; far in front of the
nose and far to low) to the nose ends with a wild bouncing model. Modifying
the spring parameters doesn't improve this. It would be great if the nose is
able to "whack" onto the ground. Real life hang-glider pilots are "used to it"
:-) . Could an expert help me with this?

Btw: This year is the 10th anniversary of this hang-glider!

Best regards
D-NXKT
