Let me reply you one by one:

Advantages: all flights connect with mpserver14 will be recorded by the site.
Pilots can trace back his flights and total time on flightgear.
Disadvantages: None afaik.

"Relay" does not forward information to the tracker server. Each mpserver has
to forward information individually for their local clients by setting
"server.tracked" and tracker IP (which is needed to change to a new server as
mentioned in previous email) in the config file.

Tracker server and the site are separate servers. Tracker server is the server
who receive data from mpserver and the site is merely a site server which
displays the website. And since there is no data feeding in, the site is in
"inactive" state, and I will get it active once at least one mpserver feeds the
data into the tracker server.

Hi Amamiya, nick or IE,
First what should we call you? ;=))
We have only just started up mpserver14.flightgear.org, and
wonder about the advantages/disadvantage of directly connecting
to a 'tracking' server.
Besides, since we relay local pilots to mpserver01, which
says it is 'tracked' would not any of our local pilots
also end up in the tracker? Or maybe it does not work this
way!
And you say a new tracking server has been setup, but
when I go to :-
http://fgtracker.ahven.eu/flightgear/modules/fgtracker/
it says (in red) -
"This tracker site is inactive until further notice."
So am a little confused. Where can the 'new' server be
viewed? What pilot stats will be shown, etc?
