I would prefer that too - the release builds can be uploaded to my DreamHost account, but that step is quite slow (700MB x 3). As ever, Jenkins can do 'anything', we just need to decide what is wise. In particular I don't know how mirror-ing occurs, if we uploaded to a primary which is automatically rsynced to the secondaries or what. Curt?
