Andy, Js_demo finds the joystick, FGFS doesn't see the device at all. The joystick is USB. I have a Logitech Wingman also, which is both USB and standard joystick interface. I tried it as a USB device, and had the same result. Basically, the joystick is not on line. I will scan through the logs tonight, and will report to the reflector on my findings. Do you mean that it fails to find any joystick at all, or that it doesn't get recognized as the right type of joystick? First off, is it plugged into the USB port? Non-USB devices can only be detected as "standard" joysticks. Our experience has been that the same hardware products sometimes reports different identifier strings; it's possible that we simply don't have yours listed. I don't have one of these sticks, but I see the following in the base package file Input/Joysticks/Microsoft/sidewinder-precision-pro.xml: <name>Microsoft SideWinder Precision 2 Joystick</name> Search your startup logs for a line that looks like "Searching for joystick bindings for ......". The string that it prints must match exactly a <name> tag in the file. If it doesn't, add an extra <name> tag. When that works, please post your modification so we can roll it into the distribution. :) Andy -- Andrew J.
