Has anyone ever got flightgear to work on Red Hat?
Maybe there is an rpm file around somewhere?

I certainly had it running under 6.1 and 6.2, but that was a while ago. I'm now using Mandrake 8.2

Jon

I'm running it with RedHat 8.0.

Does anyone know if RPM packages exist for RedHat?

Thanks,

Curt.
Hi all,

Wnen I upgraded my fastest machine to R.H (Pink Tie 9.0 from CheapBytes), FlightGear was most unhappy. After some poking around, I came up with this inelegant solution. RH has a library /usr/lib/libglut.so.3.7 that seems incompatible with fgfs. I went to one of my older systems and copied over /usr/lib/libglut.so.3.7.0 (RH7.1 system, file dated 12/26/01) to the same path. I changed the /usr/lib/libglut.so.3 symbolic link to connect the replacement library, and FlightGear has been running well since June 5. I don't claim this to be a proper solution, but it works here, and is reversible.

Computers, like air conditioners, work poorly with Windows open.
