Well, the procedure in the manual could do with updating. Apparently (my
experience) there is no need to worry about XFree86, metakit is now
redundant, and Simgear has to be obtained from somewhere other than the
simgear site.  After removing the distro version. And the header files. Oh,
and I can't access plib on CVS because it uses port 2401, despite my
firewall being configured to allow this.

I don't mind having a go if somebody who has been doing this (ie Linux and
FG) for more than three months has a look ...

By the way, does anybody want a joystick.xml file for Microsoft Force
Feedback 2?
