Hi all,

I downloaded and installed FlightGear v0.9.3 yesterday.
I am running on WIN2000, AMD Athlon XP2400, Soundblaster LIVE Drive II
Platinum, nVidia Geforce 4.
512MBRAM.

It started up ok, and I started the default cessna and began takeoff - only
to find that the plane immediately starts to turn left - even though all
controls are 'centered'.

I am using keyboard input (as I do not have a joystick).

I have tested a number of aircraft models and they ALL seem to exhibit the
same phenomen - Turning left such that they turn off the runway and go in a
vague circle..
I don't think that it's due to wind as I would expect the effect to lessen
and then stop once the aircraft was faced in the correct direction.
If I go to full throttle and take off, the plane lifts off right wing first,
and then continues to turn left, banking left and eventually crashes into
the ground.

Heavier aircraft exhibit the same phenomenon except that the rate of left
turn / banking is lesser as the aircraft is heavier.
I can compensate upon take off using the rudder, elevators etc... but this
is messy, as I often end up with the plane drifting left, then right, then
left then right and taking off in a very uncontrollable manner.

I believe that this is not the 'correct' behaviour.
I do not believe that this due to Gyroscopic precession - but then, I'm no
physicist.

Can anyone help?
I can produce a series of screenshots to demonstrate if required.

Isaac
