Thanks Erik - however, I'm slightly puzzled, as I don't have a config.sub file in the cvs checkout. I thought there may be a symlink or something there, but apparently not. Any ideas about where this file might be? According to locate, which would reflect my old source tree as I've not updated it this morning, there used to be a config.sub file there. However, I've since deleted it.
Ah, you still need to run ./autogen.sh first.
