Most of what you want to do is covered with this tutorial:

the Blender users website, http://www.blender3d.org/ , and going
Tutorials --> Getting Started --> Blender Basics.

That really should hit it; but if there's anything you still feel weak
on at that point, you should at least know enough to determine which
additional tutorials/exercises/etc. are good for you.
