For those on Windows who have a problem with scenery, esp when it is downloaded, installed, but there are airports, land, etc that are missing or things do not work properly after installing scenery:
Please check the size of the scenery file you downloaded against the one on the site. I have noticed at certain times that the files will not download completely, yet it may appear to have. You can install it and all seems to be well, then when you go looking for what should be there, it is not.
For example, w100n40 should be 74.53 MB.
Another note - if the file is damaged, the FG Scenery Installer will not install multiple files in one operation, it just quits or exits - that is a clue that the file is damaged.
A question for Curt - could there be an MD5 file that is also downloaded with the .gz which the FG Scenery Installer can check to ensure file integrity? Since the Scenery Installer obviously balks at an incomplete file (quits during the install of multiple files if one is corrupt), could there be a warning or message that suggests a corrupt file? It you are installing just one file, and it is corrupt, the install "appears" to go just fine.
No biggy, I have only had it reported to me several times, though I was able to recreate the problem on my own machines.
