I have re-installed the old sound card driver and even with --disable-sound option it doesn't work

I get:

After fgInitTimeOffset(): warp = 0
Panel visible = 0
Refreshing timestamps for -999.938 0.0625
updateLocal(-2.12554 0.65648, D:/program files/flightgear/data/Timezone)
Fatal error: Failed to gen source.

Theoretically, you should be able to disable the sound by using --disable-sound, so that openAL should not be used at all - I don't
know though, if it is initialized by default, regardless of the sound
settings ...you'll have to try it out. Maybe there's an #define
statement that one could use to compile without openAL ?

At least that would help to really locate the problem/source.
