I'm sure many of us would agree that designing new aircraft models for Flight Gear is one of the best ways for the average user to contribute to the overall project. Lack if hard performance data for new or unusual aircraft configurations isn't a show-stopper by itself. A first-order estimate of geometry, wing loadings, etc. can still result in a fairly good model. That's what Aeromatic does, after all.
Some 3-view drawings, engine types, and rough airspeed ranges should be all that is needed to get you started. JSBSim can then be used "standalone" to run parametric analyses, etc. A link to the JSBSim Aeromatic page is below: http://jsbsim.sourceforge.net/aeromatic.html Dave -----Original Message----- From: Magdalena Bugajska [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 2004 12:09 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Flightgear-users] Re: Running FG with no GUI I'll look around, but as far as I know there is no performance data for the aircraft I'm looking at.
