As a start it would help if YOU could describe the steps that you followed so far in order to install the scenery, basically you would mainly have to put the scenery into the terrain sub directory and everything should be working. Did you encounter any error messages ?
..a shot in the dark; ' fgfs --help --verbose |less ' hints to highlights such as ' --fg-scenery=path '. ;-)
..if I missed, you're back to doing it the rough but proper way, like Boris says. ;-)
