You are correct,

the 'FlightGear' interface utility Simulink block provided by the aerosim blockset (ver 1.1) is compatible with FlightGear version 0.9.2 as far as I know. However, I have had a student re-compile the dll file for compatability with version 0.9.5 which now works fine as I can run my own MATLAB/Simulink flight dynamic models.

By the way, does anybody know how to by-pass the FlightGear wizard in the latest versions as I would like to have FlightGear load automatically on start up with a particular aircraft and set of parameters (as was possible with the earlier versions using the batch file etc.).

Thanks

This does not seem telnet related but rather aerosim/mathlab related.
The problem would be that aerosim works only with one specific version of FlightGear (which is not 0.9.6 as far as I know).

Also if he's driving FG externally, he needs to remember to use the --fdm=null command line option.
