Hi all,
I have recently purchased FlightGear V0.9.6 (win32) on CD and installed it some 5 days ago.
All went well for 3 days using an old late-80’s Gravis joystick.
I purchased a new Logitech Attack 3 joystick, uninstalled the old one and installed the new one. From that time onwards FlightGear has refused to load. That is, it works up to the point of clicking “RUN” after which two windows appear, one blank the other with the picture of an aircraft, 3 beeps are heard then the aircraft window disappears and I am left with the previous screen with the options “Advanced, Back, Run, Quit”
Unfortunately no one has created a configuration file for that particular joystick yet, which might be part of the problem.
Does the "blank" window give any information after you have run the program?
Can anyone suggest a work around for this problem.
I have tried the following-:
1 Un-Installed FlightGear 2 Un-Installed the new joystick 3 Cleared the registry of all references to FlightGear 4 Packed the registry
As far as I know FlightGear doesn't touch the registry.
5 Re-Installed the old joystick
This didn't solve the problem? That's odd.
Erik
