I DL'ed the new FG package. I have the same problem with 'sound won't load' I saw noted in the archived messages here.
I have an AC97 chip set, it works fine with other simulators. I had to Disable it with the HW Manager to get past that 'loading' problem.
I see the problem is 'being worked on'.
With Sound disabled, the view came up, but something was hogging the CPU. It took a couple of seconds for a mouse click to be recognized. ;(
Older versions worked for me.
