Title: Message
I've been working on a DATCOM+ model for the A380, and discovered one of those pain in the butt errors, that caused MAJOR problems all due to one bad letter. I don't have a DATCOM user's group estabilshed, but I know a number of people on this list are using my DATCOM stuff, and thought this notice might help someone that would have been running into the same problem that I was having, but might be too embarassed to ask. For the rest of you, I apologize for wasting your band width, global warming, and the hole in the ozone.

One wrong letter would cause DATCOM to generate "NaN" (Not A Number), or a default number (1.0E-29) for some cases. This would show up in the TOTAL AIRCRAFT output section of the DATCOM.OUT file, and bad numbers in the DACOM.XML file for many of the coefficients.

The error is located under the VERICAL TAIL PLANFORM VARIABLES. Look for VFPLNF CHSTAT and change it to VTPLNF CHSTAT.

Sorry about that.
