Hi All
Having just downloaded and installed FG on my Mandrake 10.0 box,Big thanks to David Culp,I notice that the getting started file is getting a bit dated for these reasons
1) Zlib and Metakit are still mentioned.I don't know about Zlib but we dont need metakit anymore do we.
2) There is no mention of having to download and install OpenAL.
3) It appears that the base package has been moved to /usr/local/share/flighgear.
While I am quite happy to do the corrections I notice that the getting started file
is a PDF document and as far as I am aware I dont have a text editor that will handle
PDF documents.
Also I notice that there is no notes on moving from one version to the next. Now while
I realise most people here can do this blind folded standing on there left ear,with then
new usres joining all the time maybe there is a need for such instructions.
