Thanks a lot for your reply. In the meantime before reading your email, a simple "modprobe analog" did the job.
I put a script file inside "~/.kde/Autostart" to load this missing modulebut I think this is not the correct solution. Do you know the right way to load the module during the system boot up? I mean dealing with "/etc/modules.conf"
I don't know about Debian, but for Mandrake, I had add only the name of modules I want to load at boot time in the file /etc/modules
