Should reall have been http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/ of course.

This link *is* from the FG home page. And it's mentioned in the "getstart.pdf"
document (section: "5.7 Some further reading for student pilots")

We have a FAQ somewhere. It just seeks a maintainer. :-)

I suggested to maintain a FAQ on our WIKI for everyone to work on
(http://www.seedwiki.com/page.cfm?doc=Flight%20Gear&wikiid=2418), but Curt
didn't like the idea. Of course it would have been necessary to regularly
archive the contents, so that not all is lost if the service is canceled or
someone intentionally destroys it (someone paid by MS, for example, or some
other clueless people who don't like this Low Quality Video Game[TM]. :-).

You typically have two NAV, two COMM radios and an ADF radio in your
radio stack. NAV and ADF radio are connected to instruments and receive
navigation
signals. They aren't primarily for listening, although you can hear the facility
ID as morse code there (which is very useful to verify the station).

The COMM (communication) radios are for talking with humans (tower, atc, other
aircraft ...) or listening to automated spoken information (weather atis).
